Note that as a number of REIT markets are relatively immature and do not have separate exchange based indices therefore, a market capitalisation weighted index for each REIT regime has been created and which can be viewed in Bloomberg. The purpose is to enable accurate performance measurement across all REIT regimes.

As Global, Regional, and Country REIT Funds grow in number and size, these indices will provide the most reliable benchmarks.
